She runs the Packard Saw Mill, previously run by her late brother Andrew Packard. The mill is owned by his wife, Josie Packard, but for all intents and purposes is run solely by Catherine. She is dealing with Ben Horne to burn down the sawmill and frame Josie for the arson so they can use the land for Ghostwoods. She finds out the Ben was actually working with Josie toward the same ends with the hopes of killing Catherine when the mill went up in flames. She gets the laugh last, blackmailing Ben Horne (when he is in jail for Laura’s murder) into signing control of the mill and Ghostwoods back over to her.
