Husband of Shelley Johnson, truck driver. Leo is involved in many illegal activities: he deals cocaine with the Renault Brothers (responsible for killing Bernard Renault), beats his wife on a regular basis and was responsible for setting Packard Saw Mill on fire. He and Jacques had many sexual encounters with Laura Palmer and Ronette Pulaski, including the night of Laura’s death. Leo was shot by his wife but only wounded, after which he assassinated Jacques’ mynah bird Waldo. He was later shot by Hank Jennings through his living room window and hospitalized. The wound left Leo incapacitated for a while until he regained consciousness, attacked Shelley and Bobby and ran off into the woods. He was later befriended by Windom Earle who subsequently made Leo his little helper.
